One of my work colleague who is Chinese went in vacations to see his family (he did not came home for like 2 years before that if i recall correctly) for the Chinese new year period (around early February this year), going for one week to Beijing before going to see his parents in Wuhan... to be locked down only a few days after arriving there (had he stayed a bit longer in Beijing as he planned initially, he would have avoided that).

He has been working from home since then... and came back today... to be locked down here (it’s starting tonight) for at least another month... he didn’t even have time to see anybody...

His (very) sad (but teal) Focus that has been on the parking at work for like 10 months without moving (you can see it on some of my previous DOTS/DOTPL) had the four tires almost flat so i inflated them just in case he would need the car (that will definitely need at least a battery), 3 of them were around 1.4bar (~20psi) and one at 1.15bar (~14.5psi):

I like how the A3 wheels are flush (and didn’t need any kind of spacer) ; don’t mind the counter-svending :

And i did receive speakers for the A4 the other day, guess i won’t be needing to mount them for the time being :

Coming home, was lucky to find a spot on my parking (there are like 2 times more apartments than parking spots) and it was just next the my other car.

At least this time i don’t have tires that are deflating and need to be reinflated at least every week (had the S3 wheels and new tires changed less than a week before the initial lockdown between march 17th and the 11th of may and the old varnish/paint was peeling and/or corrosion under it at the wrong place on the 4 wheels), it was quite annoying to have to do that for almost 2 months.

Should have done that months ago to be fair (underinflated tires that are not moving develop flat spots and can’t be “ fixed” back ) .

Had the exact same thing on my A3 some times ago ; it’s quite common around here to see cars having some in these spots .

Worst timing award to your friend. That sucks. But with all that travel, if he doesn’t get sick, I’ll call it a win.

They say a picture contains a thousand words, and that first picture of the poor, little focus puts me in the feels. I don’t know why, but I’ve always like those first gen focuses with their angular front ends and round bodys.

I sincerely hope your pal does alright in his next phase of quarantine . Send him Oppo’s best.
